In image #3 , is a black and white photo of a ferris wheel. I took this picture for the project because it shows both shape and line. I took it at the Taunton carnival on a cloudy day. When I took this picture I was standing across from the ride, but I was kind of close to it. When I took this photo I angled my phone upwards to that I could capture the whole ride and be able to see the whole shape, and all the lines in the ride. This picture was taken vertically. In this photo I did not consider the rule of thirds. I think the bottom right photograph is a dynamic composition because you can see all the lines of the photo and still get led through the photograph.
I was at a target parking lot when I took picture #7. When I took this photo I was close to the subject. when I took this picture my phone as mostly pointing straight on but I tilted it down a little to capture more lines painted in the parking lot. This picture was taken vertically. When taking this picture I did no consider the rule of thirds because here is no one subject to look at, the subjects are the line and take up the whole picture. This picture is an example of pattern because of the lines and the way they are painted on the cement create a repetition. I would consider picture # 5 to be overexposed because I took the picture on flash and the flash reflected off the metal on the coffee holder and caused the top and some sides of the photo to be overexposed. I would consider picture # 3 under exposed because the petals are a little to dark for the photo, and the sides of the photo to be a little too dark as well. I would consider picture # 4 to be properly exposed because there is a good ration of black an white with the black lines and the whiter cement underneath. Nothing is over or under exposed.
The picture that best demonstrates the rule of thirds is the 5th picture because it is equally flowing through out the whole picture and it take up the whole picture. The picture that best demonstrates consideration of distance is picture #3 because it was pointed upwards and displayed proper exposure so that you can see the whole power line. The picture that showcases positive and negative shapes properly is #6 because it show the rectangles in between the lines. which makes it negative space, but the lines and the pole create positive space. i would say picture #5 is the strongest composition because it leads the eyes through the tree and the power lines where they intertwine. I think photo #6 satisfies what i have learned about the composition because is successfully captures the lines of the power lines. I would say that picture #3 displays black and white properly because it is not to black and not to white and it is spread out equally throughout the photo and successfully showcases the parts of the photo that are more dark and the parts that are lighter.
