I selected this photo because it shows an interesting display of lines. Compositionally, there is a pattern of lines that lead your eyes through the photo.
Also there is negative space shown by the open space in between the lines. To take this photo the shutter speed was on fast, and there was a large depth of field because everything is in focus. Looking at this photo, the compositional element that is most apparent is repetition because it repeats the same shape over again. The shape also casts a shadow of the lines seen on the pole. When I edited this photo, I adjusted the levels to make the lines bolder and the whole picture black and white. The camera was set to a fast shutter speed. I like this photo because it makes you think about what it could be. This photo was taken for the powerlines and playground assignment. What I like about this photo is that the the powerline is kind of hidden because of the tree in back of it. My point of view was with my phone tilted up to the tree. The photo follows does not follow the rule of thirds because it's centered. The depth of field is large because all is focused in the photo. The ISO was set to 200 because the photo was taken on a sunny day and the white balance was set to daylight. I selected this photo because I like the sky in the perspective I took it. Compositionally, there is line seen by the wires on the powerlines. Also there is repetition shown by the this display of wires. To take this photo I had the camera set on a fast shutter speed and a large depth of field because everything is in focus. Looking at this photo, the compositional element that is most apparent is line. There is also repetion seen by all the metal gates and railings. When I edited this photo, I adjusted the levels and change the picture from color to black and white. The camera was set to a fast shutter speed. This photo reminds me of a carnival and standing in lines waiting. This photo was taken for the portrait assignment. What I like about this photo is that it's a candid photo and it was taken when she was not looking or expecting it. My point of view was straight on and with natural light. The photo does not follows the rule of thirds because the model is in the center of the photography. The photo has a long depth of field. The ISO was set to 200 and the White Balance was on daylight. |
